As a fibre, wool has been worn by champions and battlers alike. All football playing tops were made of wool until 1980s. While synthetic fibres now dominate most sportwear, the ability of Merino wool to keep people warm in winter is unmatched by man-made fibres.

In conjunction with the Vintage Football Jumper Company, the Merino wool in our guernseys was grown by sheep grazing the Australian landscape, cared for by Australian farmers, and shorn and manufactured here in Australia.

The Fibre of Football campaign celebrates the rich heritage connecting the Australian wool industry and Australian football. The campaign is an initiative of The Woolmark Company, which is owned by Australian Wool Innovation Limited (AWI).
